    Very nive car, congratulation.
I have a very similar age car, 2W50043BW, produced the same day, 18th June 1975, but dispatced to Germany only on the 22nd December 1975. These are according to the JDHT certificate. And more surprisingly, according to the german papers, the car was first registered in Germany only on the 12th of February 1978(!). I still dd not find waht could happen between end of 1975 and 1978. Was your car registered in Germany in 1976? Thank you, György

    HI György,
Did you register your car on this site ?? Where can I find pictures of your car (2W50043BW) ?
My car was registered in Germany in Nov. 1975. It came through the distributor Brüggemann in Düsseldorf and I happen to get to know even the person who brought the new car from the distributor to our town. I did purchase the car in Apr.1980 from the second owner who had the car repainted to a Mercedes Beige color (earlier photos on file). In preparation for a car show, I had a restoration including a total repaint to its original sand green color.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
