The pre H.E. XJ-S that have stood the test of time with dignity. You can tell by looking at this car that it is almost 50 years behind it, but on the whole it is in good shape. We thoroughly checked the mechanics, revised them where necessary and demonstrated the car so that the major maintenance backlog has been cleared and the car can now be moved reliably. As always when my team takes care of a car, they cannot be stopped and so, among other things, it got a new headliner and a set of new Dunlop SP Sport "Aquajet". The service booklet tells of regular maintenance in the past and that the car was a "personal export". This means that the first owner picked up the car himself in England and drove it home.

The early XJ-S with polished chrome steel B-post cladding are still available for a reasonable price. But there are not many survivors, as we have already dismantled half a dozen in our past. This car is nowhere near perfect in appearance. All major problems that we know from early cars have been resolved. One of the little nightmares - specific to these early cars - is the rust perforation in the rear right under the parcel shelf. We have never seen a car that did not have rust there. The darn thing is that the water entering the tank then runs into the tank mat and then slowly the tank begins to rust through. For a long time you only perceive the smell of petrol until the loss becomes large. We fixed this hidden rust perforation on this car and also donated a new underbody to the tank.

Jump on the train while these unique cars are still affordable. The 50 year anniversary will take place soon. Experience has shown that the prices usually rise significantly beforehand. From MFK and great service.
