February 26, 2013 on Alders Classics website in the UK. Seller was Alders Classics, Unit 7, Wellington Road, listingays "1988 XJS Cabriolet 3.6. Rare manual. Old English White. This xjs was ziebarted from new, then travelled to South Africa with its owner, where it spent most of its life before returning a couple of years ago. It consequently has an absolutely perfect and rust-free floor - we have stripped most of the ziebart for viewing and recoating. It must rank among the very best cabrios for its excellent body and chassis. The half leather interior was very tired, and we obtained a lovely full leather interior with back seats from a facelift xjs, with electric adjustment. All carpets were removed to be replaced with new, and we took the opportunity to comprehensively waxoyl the floors inside, boot, sills, inner wings etc. We have stripped and rebuilt the rear axle. We are having a brand new hood and new targa panels made to make this car a real beauty. Lights and bumpers were removed for cleaning and detailing. Should be finished around December. Price guide around £ 10,000 less £ 1,500 if private plate not required, though we think it would be a shame to separate".
