    Rare Jaguar XJS-C

Lovely metallic blue with beige combination

    Stylish cruiser

Here we have a 1983 Jaguar XJ-SC in excellent condition. It’s finished in a lovely metallic mid-blue with gold pinstripe, and silver multi-spoke factory alloy wheels. The roof is black. Inside the interior is doe skin (beige) leather which is ripe for some gentle refurbishment, though the wood on the dash and door tops is in great condition. Period factory details like the chrome wheelarch ‘flares’ are there, as are the mudflaps and headlight wipers. The silky-smooth 3.6 litre six cylinder is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, underlining this car’s credentials as an enthusiast’s drive. Now on its fourth owner, this XJ-SC is being sold with the original owner’s manual and the service manual, plus a production record certificate and receipts of work done by previous owner. There’s also a spare ECU which has been tested, as has the one fitted to the car. Numerous other spare parts accompany the vehicle with upon sale. Previously on Victorian club plates, the Big Cat will be offered for sale unregistered.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
