www.ebay.co.uk/itm/jaguar-xjs-cabriolet/192721508675
Car has a buy it now price of £24,950 for 6 days, seller 2562john, 80k miles.
Seller's description:
for sale is my much-loved Jaguar XJSC, these cars are getting rare now, and this car must be one of the best XJSC available now, in 2016 the car was entered into North East Jaguar show, and won first prize in the GT and sport car category.
I have owned the car for ten years now, but due to a change in circumstances, and storage, I now have made the sad decision to sell the car.
Restoration
The vehicle has been subject to a full ground up restoration, which took around two years, at a cost of about £50.000, the work was done by The Carrosserie in Barnard Castle.
The car was dismantled to a bare shell, and all new original Jaguar panels where fitted, New wings, front panels, sills, doors, and lower quarters.
The car was cleaned of all under seal, and modern sealants where used, then painted matt black.
The front and rear suspensions, where dismantled, and powder coated, then rebuilt, new bushes-springs, shockers, brake discs, callipers, bearings.
The car was fully painted, under the bonnet, inside the doors and boot, in its original colour, Solent blue, which is in a unmarked condition.
Under the bonnet
All coolant hoses, and the radiator have been renewed, along with the oil cooler, and pipe work. The ignition leads and distributor caps have been replaced. The brake and clutch master cylinders have been replaced. The engine runs on un-leaded fuel, the gear box was inspected and a new clutch and slave cylinder fitted. New stainless steel exhaust has been fitted.
Exterior
The paint work is unmarked and has the original looking coach lines fitted down the side of the vehicle, the car has the American twin headlights fitted, this provides better lighting than the original Jaguar units.
All new bumpers and chrome work, has been replaced, all the wheels have been refurbished, back to the original look and new tyres fitted.
The Targa and convertible roof, has been re-trimmed, and replaced.
Interior
The inside of the car has had a total refit, new carpets, seat frames and seat pads, and finished in biscuit leather with blue piping. New headliners have been fitted, and a wood steering wheel to finish off the look inside the car, LED bulbs have been fitted to enhance the lighting on the dash clocks.
Summary
This car is among the best of the Jaguar XJSC that’s left, the 3.6 engine and manual gearbox are faultless, the car starts first time, and runs faultlessly even after standing for long periods of time. If you have been looking for an original well maintained after car with full service history from new, and a massive history file, this could be the car for you.
