Ebay item 4/12/18
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/222915418989
Classified Ad price: £3,795, seller simplyperformance_jaguar_specialists, 75k miles
Sellers description:
This is once of the very last XJS-C 5.3 V12 1988. This is the targa top version with the lift out roof panels. It is a rare car with the later sports pack seats, lattice wheels, american twin headlight, speedo drive diff and the last of the non ABS brakes. Only covered 75k miles, grab a future appreciating classic before its too late. The car is very presentable but is in need of light restoration.
We are a Jaguar specialist and have been specialising in second hand spares and performance parts since 1997. Occasionally we get a car that is just too good to break and this is one of them. It came to us after being off the road for 6 years, we changed the fuel pump, traced and ignition issues and the car ran. We have run it up to temperature to test the engine which it seem to run fairly sweetly. The gearbox works forwards and back. The front left caliper is binding so we were unable to road test the car. The car needs light restoration to return onto the road.
We have had the car in the air, the underneath is fairly rot free. Having been stored inside for the last 6 years and possibly before that it has preserved it well. There the usual crusting at the end of the sills and the bottom of the wings but by no means is this car a rot box. Very presentable and original. Still has the rear cubby boxes and original radio!
The paint work has crazed mainly on the front end. Please expect to give the car a partial re-spray, brakes, exhaust and engine and transmission service. Sold as a project and sold as spares or repair.
