Jag lover for many years. Current pair includes a 1970 XJ6 Series 1 4.2 Man/OD and a 1985 XJ-SC TWR V12 with 5 speed manual gearbox. Both great cars to drive and very different.

Article on the car to be sold from Jaguar Magazine:
    www.jaguarmagazine.com/special-xj-s-cabriolet-sale/

VERY SPECIAL XJ-S CABRIOLET FOR SALE

Another very particular collectible Jaguar is offered for sale in our next edition - and has often been featured because of its individuality. It too is previewed here for the benefit of anyone who would like to own it. JAGUAR XJ-SC Cabriolet body number 125650 It is believed to be the most comprehensively modified TWR JaguarSport car in Australia.

This particular car is one of the original V12 Cabriolets built, and one of the first to arrive in Australia. It was used briefly by Ron Hodgson, the Jaguar Dealer in Parramatta, registered "Hoddo". The TWR work was done by their Australian agent, Ron Dickson (who drove one of the TWR XJS at Bathurst in 1985).

TWR JaguarSport specification includes: large capacity air intakes and filter elements, special spark plugs and engine management settings, high efficiency stainless steel exhaust system with twin tail pipes each side - increasing power to 238 kW (320 bhp); Getrag Group A 5-speed manual gearbox; six exclusively designed Bilstein dampers; modified radius arms; revised suspension geometry and bushes; uprated front springs; modified steering rack location; 20% reduced power assistance valving; smaller, 4-spoke leather trimmed steering wheel; 8″ x 16″ alloy wheels all round with 19mm offset front, 33mm rear; 225/50 VR16 tyres front, 245/55 VR16 rear; front spoiler, rear apron, side sills and boot spoiler reduce overall drag by 12.7%, front and rear lift by 60% and 88% respectively; all bright metal parts finished in satin black. Colour is sage over rhodium, as per 1985 TWR catalogue!

The result is a truly purposeful looking XJ-SC with sensational performance (whilst retaining standard tractability) and unprecedented precision added to the renowned Jaguar ride.

The car comes with all documentation, including contemporary magazine road reports, the original TWR JaguarSport sales brochures, 1985 UK price list, and a Jaguar Heritage Certificate. The car is on NSW historical registration, 51090H, which is not transferable, but easily organised for an eligible owner.

Driver's handbook and tools are original and complete. Recent major service completed. Travelled 166,000kms

This car featured in a double page picture in the Jaguar XJ-SC article in the recent Jaguar Magazine (edition 182, pages 66-7). Its colour is Sage Green over Rhodium Silver, just like the cars featured in the 1985 TWR catalogue!

Reluctantly seeking its next custodian, due to driver's agility issues!
