    Auction description:
    First Registered 1989
    Registration No G67VWO
    Engine No 8S075299SB
    Chassis No SAJJNADW3DB170426
    MOT March 2010
    Colour Tudor White

    Details
The example offered here is a V12 5.3 convertible of 1989 vintage and has covered a mere 16,800 miles at the time of writing. The car is in the condition commensurate with the mileage and is offered complete with a fully stamped service booklet and all MoT certificates from 2002 to date.

Originally registered in Jersey, the car was brought into the UK in 2002, when it had covered only 9000 miles. The car is a UK tax paid and registered vehicle.

Finished in Tudor white with light tan leather, the car was sold by Barons back in 2007, since when it has covered just 600 miles and has been cosseted by its owner.

With the outstandingly smooth, award winning, Jaguar V12 engine under the bonnet, this XJS is barely run-in and is quite capable of continuing to run for another 240,000 or more. The brakes, suspension, transmission and interior are also in the condition one would expect of a nearly new car.

    Estimate £90000-11000

Car to return to auction 10/14
    www.coys.co.uk/auction.php

    Auction description:
    Lot 217 - 1989 Jaguar XJ-S V12 Convertible. 21,000 miles from new
    Estimate: £15,000 - £20,000
    Registration Number: G67 VWD
    Chassis Number: SAJJNADW3DB170426

An automatic transmission model, this well maintained XJ-S V12 Convertible was sold new in cream with a complementary tan leather interior. The accompanying full service history records, confirm the mileage of 21,000 miles to be genuine and as you would expect it presents itself in fantastic condition. The complementary chocolate coloured folding hood is in excellent condition.

With a host of MoTs, bills and receipts along with a current MoT and UK V5 registration papers, this has to be one of the nicest v12 convertibles Coys has seen.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
