One of two XJS V12 Convertibles in our sale today, this Solent Blue example was first registered in August 1991 and is an improved 'facelift' model which was introduced earlier that year with a host of minor detail changes including outboard rear disc brakes for easier servicing. It also has the desirable rear seat option although these are really more suited to kids than full-grown adults. The car has been in the current private ownership for the last four years and has had just four keepers before that. A beautifully maintained example, it has covered some 72,500 miles from new with no fewer than 16 main dealer service stamps up to July 2005 at 64,439 miles plus one other major service since. The air conditioning system has just been renewed at considerable expense and new front brake calipers fitted. It further benefits from two immobilisers and a CD multichanger while we are also informed that the original full tool-kit is still fitted and remains unused. Said to drive beautifully with an MOT until June 2012, this looks like a lovely example of this sybaritic summer cruiser.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
