Car to be at auction 6/16
www.barons-auctions.com/auction_details.php

Auction description:

1996 Jaguar XJS Celebration Coupe
Lot 190
First Registered:1996
Registration No:N982VPC
Mileometer:110,000
Chassis No: SAJJNAED3EJ226011
MOT:June 2017
Colour:Sapphire Blue

The Celebration was the last incarnation of a model that Jaguar built for 20 years. Generally considered to be the best XJS made, it benefitted from the excellent AJ16 powerplant, modern styling with colour coded bumpers and nice details such as Jaguar embossing in the headrests, Chrome mirror covers and special alloy wheels.

This example is presented in the winning colour combination of Metallic Sapphire Blue bodywork and contrasting Oatmeal leather. In excellent condition, the history file shows 10 stamps in the book and a clutch of invoices and old MOT certificates. Made in few enough numbers to be an appreciating modern classic, this car represents an opportunity to enjoy the best of the XJS safe in the knowledge that prices are on the up.

Guide Price: £7,500 to £8,500

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
