This 1979 pre-HE XJS V12 Auto probably won't be wafting you to Monte Carlo any time soon. On offer in the sale today simply because it would be a criminal act to see this once-magnificent cat head to the pet cemetery in the sky, it is a major restoration by any measure, or at the very least a useful source of spares for another project.

Last used in 2006, it is believed to have covered just 80,000 miles although there is insufficient documentation to confirm this. There are, however, seven old MOTs, a handbook and several old invoices for work carried out. There is also an old-style V5 which confirms that the interesting registration number, TNY 5S, remains transferable although the MOT needed to achieve its transfer is some way in the future! Unless you can get Fuzz Townshend's 'Car SOS' team on board in which case it may only take a couple of weeks...

On offer at no reserve, this may possibly be the bargain of the day, but only if you have a very optimistic outlook on life or your own special XJS needs that elusive part.
