Car to be at auction 7/16
www.swva.co.uk/classic-car/jaguar-xjs-v12-auto-1980/

Auction description:
The vendor has owned this car since 2006 and all of its history is on a disc, as from that date he purchased the car as a non runner. It is believed the previous owners who purchased the car in 1986 died and the car was disposed of through a third party to the vendor. The car had been laid up for some time prior to his ownership and the vendor has supplied a signed letter stating as far as he is aware the mileage is correct but cannot be warranted. The chassis number is from 1978 and it is believed it could be a left over model from the fuel crisis which was registered late. The car is believed to be 1 of 357 (info supplied by Jaguar). The disc shows the rebuild including engine etc. This car is not concours but is a very nice example and the vendor states it drove to the auction very well.

Car to be at auction 9/16
www.barons-auctions.com/auction_details.php

Auction description:
1978 Jaguar XJ-S V12
Lot 155
Manufacturer: Jaguar
Model: XJ-S V12
First Registered: 1978
Registration No: AFV 810V
Mileometer: 48,347
Chassis No: JNAEW3AC103654
MOT: December 2016
Colour: Red

The vendor bought this Jaguar XJS Coupe in January 2006 which had five former keepers. According to the previous owner, the car was not used for a long period of time. The owner passed away, and the family members wanted the car to be sold. He assured the vendor that the mileage on the clock is genuine. The car was not running and the car was transported to the engineers for re-commissioning where they first had to replace the petrol tank, because the residue fuel was jelly inside. A photograph of the dashboard was taken on 25th of March 2006 and the clock shows 43,843 miles, which the vendor is convinced is genuine.

This Jaguar XJ-S has no modifications. According to Jaguar only 357 of this specific type were manufactured. The Jaguar XJ-S is hailed as the World's greatest GT car of the time. Even today the Jaguar impresses with its beauty - those flying buttresses add elegance and the styling and appears timeless. There is space in the boot for golf clubs and Champagne baskets, but space for more than two people is tricky, although it has back seats. The ride of this Coupé is described as comfortable and effortless. The vendor has owned the car since January 2006 . A full restoration was completed through six years with documented photographs and the car is said to be in good running order. The car still has its original Kent alloy wheels. The mileage at purchase was 43,843 with the current mileage being 48,328.

Guide Price: £5,500 to £7,500

Ebay item 3/28/18
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jaguar-XJS-Pre-He-5-3-V12-1979/332600763635
Car has a buy it now price of £25,000 for 20 days, seller designerdesirable, 51k miles, car now said to be in Fleet, United Kingdom.

Sellers description:
Jaguar XJS PRE HE AUTOMATIC, 51000 miles.

2 Doors, Coupe, Petrol, V12, 5300 cc, Sebring Red, Black leather, Original carpet, Original alloy wheels with x5 new period correct Pirelli tyres (£316 each), pre he bumpers, original factory Jaguar radio cassette.
New MOT 01/18 with no advisories.

Used by XJS Club at London Classic Car Show 2018
Feature car in Classic Cars magazine September 2017

The car underwent a full restoration with engine rebuild in 2007 by its doctor owner, from there it did less that 500 miles a year until I bought it. I have used it on weekends, and to commute to work, but only on dry sunny days. It is very reliable and is immaculate. I have had a lot of work done to the vehicle this year with bills totalling around £8000.00 so it really does run sweetly, I like things running well so I've been pretty miticulous with it. The Vinyl roof is from Jaguar and is original with the car.

Recent works include, full service inc gearbox, and dif, rear brakes (expensive inboard) calipers and disks, refurbished alternator, new heater matrix (nightmare big job on these), Oil cooler, new Stainless steel exhaust, Injector harness, new air con, new radiator, Tyres, and a load of other bits. Please call for more info on bits done.

She really is a beautiful car in great condition and to be honest I'm sad that I have to let her go but as I'm moving house and no longer have the space I don't really have a choice. There are a couple Pre He's for sale at the moment that will require a lot of work to get right, the work has already been done on this.

Car to be at auction 10/10/18

Lot 143A - 1979 Jaguar XJS pre-HE
ESTIMATE £18,000- £22,000
Auction Syon Park
Lot Number 143A
Reg. Number UK Registered

Year 1979
Make Jaguar
Model XJS Pre-HE

This wonderful and mostly original example underwent a full restoration including engine rebuild in 2007 by its previous custodian, who happened to be a doctor by trade. From there on, the car was driven regularly yet sparingly, covering approximately 500 miles each year until being purchased by the current vendor. In recent years the car has only been used on weekends or the occasional luxury commute to work, however only dry sunny days.

Described to be incredibly reliable and immaculate in condition, its current custodian has spent a small fortune in preparing this car for himself with no intention for re-sale. Not only is this a fine example of the very early desirable Pre-HE example, but over the last year it has amassed invoices totalling in excess of £8,000.

It is widely believed that XJS's are the new up and coming modern classic and hot investment opportunity. This is even more so the case with the earlier examples such as this one, which because of this reason was featured in the September 2018 issue of the Classic Car Magazine, as well as being presented at the London Classic Car show in the XJS Club stand in 2017.

Additional notes; finished in its original colour Sebring red its body is in very good condition with original vinyl roof supplied by Jaguar. Resprayed during its 2007 restoration and still presenting very well. Mechanically she is immaculate with essentially a full mechanical renovation this year (some of which is listed below).

2 Doors, Coupe, Petrol, V12 l, 5300 cc, Sebring Red, Black leather, Original carpet, original refurbished alloy wheels with x5 new period correct Pirelli tyres, original factory Jaguar radio cassette. MOT with no advisories January 2018.
