First registered in August 1980 and currently showing 75,026 miles the car starts runs and drives without drama and it appears all the mechanicals are in relatively good order. The vehicle has been laid up for some time so there is some evidence of sticking brakes and a blowing exhaust.

The original black interior is in good condition albeit a little dirty and dry but there are no serious issues and the vehicle still retains the original factory fitted radio cassette.

Structurally the car has survived the passage of time very well with sills, jacking points and floors still in good order, wings doors and boot are showing slight evidence of corrosion but certainly nothing drastic.

The worst section of corrosion is just below the rear bumper on the boot valance panel. I have a panel, which has been cut from a donor car, which I will throw in, free as a good quality replacement.

To summarise this extremely rare V12 XJS has survived the passage of time pretty well but is now worthy of a much-deserved restoration,

1980 Pre HE XJS . This is the rare P digital model with higher BHP than standard. Starts first time every time, runs stops and drives great . Never restored so has some scabs on it . Needs the instrument lights to illuminate for its mot, just not had time to investigate fully. Lost interest, considering an air cooled vw or mg midget so may take one of those in part exchange.
