Bonhams, Collectors' Motor Cars and Automobilia, 8 March 2009 : An automatic transmission model finished in Coronet Gold with Country Tan leather interior, this V12-engined XJ-S Coupé was first owned by a retired Salisbury pharmacist, Mr D A Covell, who purchased it new from Jaguar main agents, Henley's of Salisbury for use in his retirement. Mr Covell used his Jaguar until 1988 when it was placed in storage, the recorded mileage having reached circa 16,000 by that time. In August 1998 the second owner, a member of Salisbury Cathedral's staff, acquired the XJ-S from the late Mr Covell's estate.
