Car was at auction 3/14
classiccars.brightwells.com/viewdetails.php

Auction description:
Lot number 33
Hammer value £10,000
Description Jaguar XJS 4.0 Convertible
Registration K1 AFU
Year 1993
Colour Light Metallic Blue
Engine size 3,980 cc
Chassis No. SAJJNAFD3EJ188398
Engine No. 9EPCNA175339

This particular XJS is the glamorous 4-litre convertible version that was launched in 1992. First registered in May 1993 it looks superb in light metallic blue with a grey hide interior following an extensive cosmetic refurbishment and full waxoil treatment in September 2013.

The car has only covered some 70,250 miles from new and comes with a full service history comprising 14 stamps to date (all but the last at Jaguar main agents) plus many supporting invoices and was last serviced only 200 miles ago. Said to drive beautifully with an MOT until June 2014, it comes with all its original handbooks, a Tracker anti-theft system and a personalised number plate that has been valued at £1,250. What more could you want?

Car to return to auction 2/15
www.barons-auctions.com/details.php

Auction description:
Lot No: 122
Manufacturer Jaguar
Model XJS 4.0 Convertible
First Registered 1993
Registration No K1AFU*
Engine No 9EPCNA175339
Chassis No SAJJNAFD3EJ188398
MOT Aug 2015
Colour Diamond Blue

The vendor states that this Classic Convertible Grand Tourer looks stunning in the unusual Colour of Diamond Blue. The facelifted 'big bumper' XJS benefits from better rust proofing and a more modern look, and this car both looks the part and drives superbly. From new until 1997 the vehicle covered 28000 miles, and was serviced by the local main dealer no less than six times. It then appears to have had the same owner for the next thirteen years until 2010 when the speedo reading was 58972. It has had seven more main dealer services and then two by well known specialists. From then until September 2013 it covered seven thousand miles and had a further two services. At that time it also had a full underside inspection and any corrosion was dealt with in the appropriate manner. For these works and most of the other services there are invoices which give detail, and to add to the history file we also have an impressive MOT trail.

Guide Price: £10000 to £12000
