The Interior
The Celebration’s interior is clearly on show, with wooden trims and contrasting cream leather interior making a fabulous contrast to the dark blue paintwork
Each aspect of the interior is in very good condition, with wood trim on dash, door tops and centre console replaced
We’re informed that all console features are operating correctly, including the modern Kenwood radio (which has CD and DAB functionality as well as hands free mobile function with microphone fitted in dashboard) original air conditioning, electric hood and interior lights
Some slight fraying to the veneer at the top of the steering wheel, but barely noticeable until close inspection
Seats have very minor wear, as do the carpets, commensurate with the car’s low mileage
Boot is in fine order, with clean carpets throughout and spare wheel
The Exterior
Finished in blue with twin-painted coachlines
Vehicle is largely in original condition
Minor blemishes and scratches to paintwork in some locations, but far from detracting from the vehicle
Some scratches and pebble marks towards the bottom of panels
Slight signs of paint loss and very minor corrosion to the internal base of the doors
Slight scratches to hood and boot door
Occasional very small paint chips, barely visible from the overall view of the vehicle
Minor signs of corrosion to underside with no reported structural defects
No obvious faults in the chrome work, with badges and branding all clearly on display
Panel gaps tight and consistent
Convertible hood replaced in 2014 and in good condition, with no rips or tears
When lowering the soft top the roof bar need to be held slightly to stop it touching the top of back seats
Desirable 16'' Lattice alloys
Good set of tyres with plenty of tread
The Mechanics
The AJ16 engine is often regarded as one of Jaguar’s finest for reliability
New handbrake and gearbox fitted in 2017
Parking brake light stays on due to a minor electrical fault
Central locking is slightly stiff but still functions as expected
Engine bay is clean and well-kept
Owner informs us there are no faults with the engine and that regular mechanical care has kept it in good working order
