Ebay item 3/5/16
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJ-/301889031579
Opening bid US $2,500, no reserve, no bids 6 day left in auction. Seller c3lover11, 147k miles.
Sellers description:
1986 Jaguar XJCS Cabaret. There are about 3800 built from 1984 through 1986. It's the model that is half Targa Top and half Convertible Top. This one a little different from others, due to it has a C4 Corvette engine installed. There is a kit on the market that allows the Corvette engine to be installed, using the factory transmission. The original owner had it done about 10 years ago prior to his passing. So it's been sitting ever since. It was his baby.
The things that need to be done are, a new convertible top in back. It leaks from the plastic window. The rear deck needs to be repainted. Front 2 seat bottoms need replacing. And it wouldn't hurt to replace all rubber moldings.
The gas tank has been emptied, do to sitting so long, and cleaned. New fuel filter. And fuel lines have been blown out. Brakes have been serviced. The A/C is there, but needs to be serviced. And yes, they are true spoke wheels, not hub caps. There is 147,312 miles on it, but I don't know how many miles are on engine, or what the miles where when engine was swapped. But it does run great, and the transmission shifts in all gears smoothly.
I had an estimate done, to see what it would take to get car in beautiful driving condition, and was told about $3500.00. So that would make this XJCS a great simple weekend project car, that you could still drive and enjoy.
As you can see from my ebay rating, I take great pride in giving as much information about what I have up for auction. This is also a local pickup only auction. The car is located in Fulton, Missouri.
