1988 Jaguar XJ-SC CABRIOLET. V-12 fuel injected engine with automatic transmission. This would be a project for a Jaguar enthusiast or someone familiar with electrical systems to trouble shoot a starting issue. The V-12 does run and it does start occasionally but it suffers from a bad relay, solenoid or starter, or combination of starting components. The car is complete and original. Repainted the original Claret color 3 years ago. Some bubbling of paint on the lower trunk edge under emblem on left. See pic. Also on lower driver side quarter panel. Light scratches. Undercarriage and floors are solid. Trunk area and exhaust system is solid. T-tops seal tightly and remove easily. Interior has some wear as seats are Florida sun baked and will need new covers. Door panels are faded at top but armrests are good. Wood inlay for dash has been sanded for new varnish. Crack in dash center. Power windows and locks work. Fuel pump is working. Gas flows through filter and through lower tank filter outlet fine. Tires have decent tread and hold air. No signs of dry rot. Wheels are in good condition. This XJ-SC is being sold as a project car and is not currently operable without sorting out the starting problem. It will need to be towed. The XJ-SC is a very rare Jaguar model and very hard to find in original condition with the factory engine.
