Ebay item 11/21/18
www.ebay.com/itm/1988-Jaguar-XJS/143021628635
Car has a buy it now price of $15,500 for 6 days, seller wwpepper, 77k miles.
Seller's description:
What a lucky find this was. Only 1900 of these were imported into the US over the entire XJSC production. An elderly stock broker bought this car new in NC then moved back home in 2004. It has about every option available including wire wheels with spinners, factory tool kit, hard top with cover, tonneau and working Jaguar-installed JG 200 radar detector etc. He kept it in his heated garage and did not drive it for the last 10 years of his life. I bought it from his estate in 2017. Actual mileage is 77,840
I took care of the following issues since then:
new AC compressor, expansion valve, dryer, pressure switch, flush and recharge AC system; new plug wires, cap, rotor, plugs; replace valve cover gaskets; new wiper switch; change and rechange oil with new oil sending unit; replace fuel rail hoses; new front calipers; new rear brake rotors and pads; master cylinder rebuilt by White Post Restorations; balance tires and alignment; replace transmission mount.
I have put 1800 miles on the car and am very pleased with the performance and comfort of this rust-free car. The tires have virtually no wear but are outdated and for safety reasons might need replaced, though no dry rot or cracks are evident. The radio code card and full owners manual packet are included. Original stereo and antenna work great. Spare appears new. No rust anywhere. Original paint-- except an area on one side has been repainted. No history of accidents per the clean Carfax run before my purchase. I am confident the car has never been wrecked.

This 1988 Jaguar XJ-SC V12 is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Glacier White over blue leather upholstery. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, removable blue roof panels, 15″ wire-spoke wheels, heated and power-adjustable seats, a factory cassette stereo, and automatic climate control. The car has been registered in North Carolina and West Virginia, and it was purchased by the seller in 2017. Reported work in 2023 included fitting an aluminum radiator and an auxiliary cooling fan. This XJ-SC V12 shows 80k miles and is now offered at no reserve with owner’s manuals, roof-panel storage bags, a spare set of wheels, a clean Carfax report, and a clean West Virginia title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Glacier White with matching-insert side moldings and contrasting pinstriping and features removable blue roof panels as well as matching interchangeable soft and rigid panels that fit aft of the rollbar. Additional exterior details include quad headlights, front fog lights, chrome mirror caps, a power antenna, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller states that portions of the car have been repainted.
Wire-spoke 15″ wheels with faux knock-off center caps were mounted with 215/70 Firestone All-Season tires after some of the gallery photos were taken. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs. The removed factory wheels are included in the sale.
The heated and power-adjustable seats are upholstered in blue leather, and burl wood veneer accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Additional appointments include a factory cassette stereo, an onboard computer, and automatic climate control. The car was factory-equipped with cruise control which the seller states is inoperative, and the wood veneer trim on the center console is cracked.
The two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The control panel for a remote-mounted JG-200 radar detector is secured atop the steering column. The six-digit odometer shows 80k miles, approximately 3,500 of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. An aluminum radiator and an auxiliary cooling fan were reportedly installed in 2023.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Rust can be seen on some underside surfaces.
