On eBay USA January 08, 2012. Has 34,442 miles and asking USD $ 7,779.

This is a 1-owner car recently traded in by a woman who's father passed away. This was one of his cars and the family needed something practical, so this car had to go. This is a very low production original condition 1988 model XJ-SC. If you're looking at it, you probably know about them and the details. After posting this I received an email from a nice gentleman at the International Cabriolet Register (www.jagicr.org) that this car is number 4,695 of 5,013 built, and number 1,727 of 1,934 brought stateside. It's a later build. This particular car has been garaged essentially every day of its' life. We're pretty confident the paint, body, and mechanical are all original. We have every receipt since day one, the window sticker, repair manuals, all the convertible covers, the original rear hard top, and all the original keys. The car is totally complete. It has a very sparing 34,000 miles and is in excellent (though not new) condition. This vehicle cost $ 50,900 new plus premiums which in today's dollar is about $95,000. From what I gather total production on this car imported to the USA was 1973, and I'm sure there's only a handful left out there in this condition and mileage. Auction prices on immaculate cars have ranged from $ 12,000 - $ 16,000 on this car even the last few years. Our car here is priced at a fraction of that and the condition is not far off.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
