This 1989 Jaguar XJ-S V12 coupe was registered in California and Oregon before it was acquired by the seller in 2016, and it is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Finished in Silver Birch over Barley leather upholstery, the car is equipped with a limited-slip differential, chrome-finished 15″ cross-spoke wheels, heated front seats, a cassette stereo, and wood veneer interior trim. Work under current ownership is said to have included replacing the auxiliary air valve, heater valve, wiper switch, lower radiator hose, thermostats, steering rack, tie rod ends, hood struts, and assorted brake components. This XJ-S V12 coupe shows 96k miles and is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Silver Birch (MDJ) and features quad headlights, front fog lights, chrome mirror caps, a power antenna, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller states that the left side of the car sustained scratches as a result of contact with a motorcycle in their garage, and additional photos of fading paint on the roof, paint chips, and imperfections are visible.
Chrome-finished 15″ cross-spoke wheels are mounted with 215/70 Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 tires that show 2016 production codes. The front brake calipers, pads, and hoses were replaced in 2017, a replacement steering rack and tie rod ends were installed in 2018, and the rear brake calipers, pads, emergency brake pads, and rotors were replaced in 2019.
The cabin features heated power-adjustable front seats upholstered in Barley leather along with burl wood veneer accents on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Interior equipment includes a cassette stereo, a driver-side airbag, and retractable front seatbelts. The cruise control and left window are inoperative, the right window does not lower fully, the air conditioning does not blow cold, the wiper switch has a dead spot, the stereo crackles, the seller notes that the driver’s lumbar support deflates quickly, and wear is noted on the front seats.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 96k miles, approximately 12k of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. The seller states that the radiator was refurbished in 2019, and additional service under current ownership consisted of replacing the auxiliary air valve, heater valve, lower radiator hose, thermostats, and hood struts. The windshield washer fluid reservoir cap is broken.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. There is an indent in the right-front floor panel.
