THIS IS A 1989 XJS JAGUAR. IT JUST HAD DRIVER'S SIDE CYLINDER HEAD REMOVED AND NEW VALVE SEATS AND REQUIRED VALVES INSTALLED. AFTER REASSEMBLY WE FOUND PASSENGER SIDE BANK HAD BAD COMPRESSION. I DO NOT WISH TO PUT ANY MORE MONEY INTO THIS CAR. I WOULD RATHER SELL AS IS. CAR WAS DRIVING BEFORE TEAR DOWN. POSSIBLY LOW COMPRESSION IS DUE TO RIGHT SIDE CAMSHAFTS OUT OF TIME. I FEEL THIS IS THE EXCELLENT PROJECT CAR FOR A CHEVY ENGINE CONVERSION. CAR HAS VERY NICE BLACK LEATHER INTERIOR. EXTERIOR PAINT HAS STARTED TO GET CLOUDY ON TOP OF THE ROOF. IT MAY BUFF OUT. TIRES ARE VERY GOOD. CAR HAS BEEN SITTING IN INSIDE STORAGE FOR TWO YEARS. ENGINE CRANKS OVER FINE AND TRANSMISSION WAS SHIFTING PERFECTLY BEFORE TEARDOWN. AS I STATED I AM SELLING CAR DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST. I HAVE LISTED XJS WITH A VERY REASONABLE RESERVE. CAR CAN BE SHIPPED OR PICKED UP LOCALLY. IT DOES NOT RUN AND IS SOLD AS IS.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
