This 1991 Jaguar XJ-S 2+2 coupe has been registered in Ontario, Canada, since new and was acquired by the selling dealer in 2022 for display in their showroom. Repainted in Signal Red over Dark Charcoal leather upholstery, it is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 15″ basketweave alloy wheels, inboard rear disc brakes, heated power-adjustable front sport seats, and cruise control in addition to walnut trim, an onboard computer, power windows, and an Alpine CD stereo. This XJ-S coupe is now offered at no reserve in Canada with US and Canadian Carfax reports and clean Ontario registration.
The car was factory-finished in Signal Red (CFC) and has been repainted. Exterior details include dual single-lens headlights, a Jaguar growler hood emblem, dual exhaust outlets, and a telescoping antenna. A February 2005 entry on the Carfax report notes minor damage to the left-front area of the car. Photos provided in the gallery below show blemishes along with worn paint on the front grille.
Basketweave-pattern 15″ alloy wheels are mounted with 225/60 General Altimax RT43 tires, and a spare on a matching wheel is secured in the trunk. Braking is provided by power-assisted four-wheel discs with red-finished front calipers and inboard rears, with corrosion noted by the selling dealer along with cracked suspension bushings.
The heated and power-adjustable front sport seats are upholstered in Warm Charcoal leather, and the contoured rear bench is trimmed to match. The cabin is further appointed with burl walnut trim, an onboard computer, a rear window defroster, an Alpine CD stereo, cruise control, and power windows. The car is equipped with air conditioning, but the compressor does not work. Cracked glovebox-door trim, repaired driver-seat upholstery, and a loose power-window switch panel are depicted in the gallery.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 260-km/h speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 49k kilometers (~31k miles), approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership. The US Carfax report notes several mileage inconsistencies, and a September 2010 entry on the Canadian Carfax report indicates mileage higher than several subsequent entries. Total mileage is unknown.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque for Canadian-market examples. The engine oil was most recently changed in 2021, and the selling dealer notes leaks from the engine, transmission, differential, and power-steering system.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Records indicate undercoating was applied to the car in 2018.
