This 1986 Jaguar XJ-SC is finished in Antelope over tan upholstery and powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a brown soft top with removable roof panels, 15″ alloy wheels, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, air conditioning, an onboard computer, and an Alpine CD stereo. The car was recently acquired by the selling dealer, and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale. This XJ-SC is offered by the selling dealer in Texas at no reserve with a Carfax report and clean Colorado title.

The car is finished in Antelope (AFM) and features a brown fabric soft top with removable roof panels. Additional exterior details include fog lights, chrome impact bumpers, chrome side mirror covers, “XJ-SC” and “V12” badging, and dual exhaust outlets. The Carfax report lists an accident in May 1994 that caused “minor” damage to the right rear, and a damage report from August 2002 describes an accident involving the right side.

Silver 15″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with 215/70 Michelin Defender tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs.

The cabin features Buckskin (AFR) seat upholstery with matching door panels and carpets. Wood veneer trim accents the dashboard and doors, and amenities include air conditioning, an onboard computer, all-weather floor mats, electric windows, and an Alpine CD stereo. Wear is visible on the driver’s seat bolster.

A black two-spoke steering wheel wears a two-tone cover and frames a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 96k miles. The Carfax report notes an odometer discrepancy in January 2022, and the true mileage is unknown.

The 5.3-liter V12 features electronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. Service performed in preparation for the sale is said to have included an oil change and replacing a coolant sensor.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Rust is visible on the underside components, additional photos of which are provided in the gallery below.

This 1986 Jaguar XJSC is a good driver level car that was initially available in limited quantities (since so few were sold in the first place), and shows to run and drive well. It is one of the only 3,800 examples produced between 1985 and 1988, and features a 5.3L high efficiency V-12 engine that is very powerful, silky smooth, and quiet. The XJSC comes equipped with a 3 speed automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, power tinted windows and door locks; On the inside it features Burl Walnut trim inlaid with contrasting matching wood inserts, leather upholstery, climate control air conditioning, driving lights, Alpine AM/FM/CD/MP3 stereo, driver's side airbag, traction control, rear defogger, intermittent wipers, and cruise control.

For sale is my rare model 1986 Jaguar XJS-C. There were only a few thousand Cabrio models made globally throughout the years. This Cabrio features a Targa top and folding rear soft top. It appears the top has been refinished as it is in excellent condition. There are no leaks or loose stitching, and it functions with ease. This XJSC is equipped with the factory 5.3 Liter V12 engine and 3 Speed automatic transmission. The engine starts on the first crank and the transmission shifts smooth through each gear. It is presented in the factory "Antelope" exterior and "Biscuit" interior. The exterior is practically showroom condition and has only two minor imperfections as to be expected for the age/miles of this Jag. The interior seats are free of any major wear and tear. The wood grain on the dash is exceptional, I only noted a few imperfections on the lower section. The headliner is in great shape, there are NO holes, tears, or sagging. This Jag has been garage kept and professionally maintained. I have a car detailer maintain it on a bi-monthly basis. Private owner with clean title in hand.

The AC blows COLD, yes that is right the AC functions perfectly and has been updated. It currently has just over 96ks original miles. It has four matching tires with good tread (no cracks or unusual wear). It has the typical aftermarket Alpine radio. Every lightbulb, feature, and accessory work as it did from the day it left the factory. This is a VERY clean example of an XJSC. The wheels are free of any curb rash or major imperfections. The breaking system is flawless and breaks on a dime. There is no dead pedal or play in the breaks. The suspension is solid and it corners very well, there is no "slop" in the suspension. No money was spared on this car and is ready to be driven and enjoyed. I would drive this car anywhere without hesitation.
