This 1986 Jaguar XJ-SC is finished in Dorchester Gray over a Savile Gray interior and is powered by a fuel-injected 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a three-piece roof with a black convertible half-top, dual polished exhaust outlets, 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels, automatic climate control, a dash-mounted trip computer, an aftermarket Pioneer stereo, and a trunk-mounted 10″ Rockville subwoofer. The car was purchased by the seller in 2006, and subsequent maintenance included replacement of suspension components, the radiator, and the ignition. This XJ-SC shows just over 58k miles and is now offered with factory literature, a tool kit and jack, a targa panel bag, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Washington title in the seller’s name.
The exterior is finished in Dorchester Gray (LDP) and is equipped with removable targa roof panels and a black convertible half-top, the latter of which was replaced in 2020. Exterior features include chrome bumpers and rocker trim, dual polished exhaust outlets, fog lights, and quad headlights with HID bulbs. The trunk lid has been refinished and clear-coated, and imperfections are noted, including chips, worn pinstripes, and scuff marks on the chrome.
Aftermarket 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels wear Jaguar center caps and 235/60 General AltiMAX tires that the seller states were recently mounted. The springs and shocks were reportedly replaced during the seller’s ownership, and a brake fluid flush was performed recently.
The seats were reportedly refurbished in 2020 with replacement foam, webbing, diaphragms, and replacement Savile Gray leather upholstery. Matching wool carpets and mats cover the floors, and burl walnut trim is present on the dashboard, doors, and gear selector. Amenities include automatic climate control, a dash-mounted trip computer, power accessories, rear storage compartments, and an aftermarket Pioneer Bluetooth stereo with hands-free calling, three-way Pioneer speakers, and a trunk-mounted 10″ Rockville subwoofer. Interior lighting has been converted to LEDs, and the air conditioning has been converted to R134a refrigerant. Cracks are visible on the walnut trim, the windshield wipers are said to operate slowly, and the cruise control has been removed. The cruise control bellows are included in the sale.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows just over 58k miles, approximately 25k of which were added by the seller.
The fuel-injected 5.3-liter V12 reportedly received a replacement radiator, hoses, belts, and a fan during the seller’s ownership. An updated ignition system was also installed, and the battery has been wired with a trickle-charge adaptor. A wall-mounted trickle charger is included in the sale. An oil change was performed recently, and the seller notes an engine oil leak.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Corrosion is noted on the exhaust and undersides, and additional underbody photographs can be seen in the gallery below.
