European Motor Studio is excited to offer this rare and unusual find. A 1987 Jaguar XJ-SC V12 Cabriolet finished in a very rare shade of Dorchester Grey Metallic over Saville Grey leather with a complimenting Black roof. After leaving the Coventry Browns Lane factory in November of 1986, this XJ-SC was imported into the US and sold new in Chicago, this XJS has seen two owners since and has been very well kept and stored since new. The Dorchester Metallic Grey paint looks beautiful with only small stone chips in the front nose and all of the black trim on the bumpers and window surrounds are in excellent shape with one small scrape in the front passenger side bumper by the turn signal and one small scrape in the rear bumper. The Saville Grey Connolly leather is in outstanding original condition with no signs of dye work or repair anywhere. The wood is in beautiful shape with a nice rich color and excellent crack free finish. All of the trim and dash are in excellent condition free from any damage or cracking. All of the switchgear is in great operating shape and all of the chrome is in very nice condition. All of the electronics on the car are operating as they should down to the original factory radio and power antenna. Even the tape player works. All of the lights operate, the windows, locks and mirrors are all working and all of the interior lights are functioning. All of the gauges appear to be reading correctly and the onboard computer is still functioning. The AC blows cold and the heater is very warm. The V12 engine starts right up and does not smoke on start up or acceleration. The V12 pulls incredibly strong and buttery smooth as it was designed to. The transmission is smooth on all up shifts. The car wears newer tires and has brand new pads, rotors and front calipers. All of the original factory VIN stickers are still in place on all body panels and there does not appear to be any signs of prior accident damage repair. The soft top and the headliner all looks like it has been replaced at one point. This is an excellent example of the XJ-SC that was produced in limited numbers compare the Coupe version. A clean Carfax along with 3 sets of keys, original door lock keys and the original spare and tool kit are all present with the sale of this XJ-SC.
