This 1989 Jaguar XJS convertible is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 and it was retrofitted with five-speed manual transmission and refurbished in metallic gray over gray leather upholstery under previous ownership. Equipment includes a power-retractable black soft top, 17″ aftermarket wheels, fog lights, four-wheel disc brakes, automatic climate control, heated seats, an onboard computer, and an aftermarket AM/FM/CD stereo. Work completed under previous ownership included resealing the engine, installing aftermarket suspension and stainless-steel exhaust components, and refreshing the interior. Acquired by the selling dealer in July 2022, this XJS now shows 63k miles and is offered in Connecticut with manufacturer’s literature, a convertible top boot, a car cover, refurbishment receipts and photos, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New York title.

The car left the factory finished in Dorchester Gray Metallic (LDP) and was repainted under previous ownership. Exterior details include a replacement power-retractable black soft top, bright trim, quad headlights, fog lights, a front spoiler, and dual polished exhaust outlets.

Silver 17″ wheels by The Driven Man feature polished lips and Jaguar-logo center caps and are mounted with 235/50 Toyo Versado LX tires. The car is equipped with Bilstein shocks as well as aftermarket lowering springs and sway bars. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.

The cabin features heated bucket seats upholstered in gray leather that are said to have been re-trimmed under previous ownership, and the selling dealer notes that replacement wood veneer interior trim was installed at that time. Additional amenities include automatic climate control, an onboard computer, power windows, Jaguar-branded door sill plates, cruise control, and an aftermarket AM/FM/CD stereo.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 63k miles.

The 5.3-liter V12 is equipped with electronic fuel injection and is said to have been fitted with a modified ECU and replacement intake manifolds. Additional work performed in 2004 included replacing the timing chain, tensioner, and guides along with resealing the engine.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission that is reportedly linked with a Zoom clutch and lightweight flywheel. The car is equipped with a stainless-steel dual exhaust system.

A binder of photos showing various stages of the refurbishment will come with the car. A convertible top boot and storage bag, a fitted car cover, manufacturer’s literature, and carpeted floor mats are also included in the sale.
