Auction description:
This 1989 Jaguar XJS convertible shows just under 18k miles and is finished in Jaguar Racing Green over Barley leather. The car reportedly spent much of its life in Nevada before its recent acquisition by the selling dealer. Power is from a 5.3-liter V12 mated to an automatic transmission, and features include a power-operated top, cruise control, heated and powered seats, and automatic climate control. This XJS is now being offered by the selling dealer in North Carolina with a Carfax report and a clean Kentucky title.
Body panels are finished in Jaguar Racing Green (HEN). The Carfax report indicates an accident in 2007 involving damage to the front of the vehicle. Images show the painted surfaces from multiple angles, along with the black soft top both raised and lowered.
Factory 15” basketweave wheels feature Jaguar center caps and wear 235/60 Goodyear Eagle tires that show date codes from 2007. Additional exterior equipment includes fog lights, chrome side mirrors, US-spec bumpers, and quad headlights.
The interior is trimmed in Barley leather with a black dash and burl walnut accents. Amenities include heated and power-adjustable seats, power windows, cruise control, and a trip computer. A cassette stereo is retained in the center stack.
A factory 2-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer and 6-digit odometer that shows just under 18k miles.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory-rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque and sends power to the rear wheels through an automatic transmission.
