Private Party Or Dealer: Private Party

This 1989 Jaguar XJS convertible is finished in red over tan leather and is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power-operated black soft top, wire wheels, power-adjustable and heated seats, cruise control, automatic climate control, front fog lights, and a factory cassette stereo. The car was first delivered to Marina Jaguar in Santa Cruz, California, and spent time in Nevada before being acquired by the seller in 2011 and relocating to Wisconsin. This XJS shows 32k miles and is offered at no reserve with a top boot, sheepskin seat covers, service records, a Carfax report, and a clean Wisconsin title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Signal Red (CFC) and features a black soft top with a matching top boot. Equipment includes chrome side mirrors and trim as well as front fog lights, dual exhaust outlets, and a power-retractable convertible top. A hole in the passenger side of the soft top is shown up close in the photo gallery.

The 15″ alloy wheels are wrapped in 235/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The car is equipped with four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes.

The cabin features seating and door panels upholstered in tan leather with matching carpets, and burl wood accents the dash, center console, and doors. Amenities include power-adjustable and heated seats, cruise control, an onboard computer, automatic climate control, and a factory cassette stereo. Wear is visible on the driver’s seat outer bolster.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer along with gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 32k miles, approximately 12k of which were added by the seller. The Carfax report notes “not actual mileage” titles were issued in California in July 1998 and December 1999. The seller has provided documents showing historical mileage records.

The 5.3-liter V12 produced 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque when new. The seller notes that the heater control valve was replaced and the cooling system was flushed in summer 2020.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a GM TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. Additional underbody images are available in the gallery.

Manufacturer’s literature, service records, original sales documents, a car cover, and a copy of the window sticker are included in the sale.
