Ebay item 5/7/19
www.ebay.com/itm/1983-Jaguar-XJS-Base-Coupe-2-Door/233218306191
Current bid: $2,624 no reserve 42 bids 5 days left in auction, seller fontanaautobrokersonline, 71k miles.
Seller's description:
1983 Jaguar XJS HE
Chevrolet Small Block V8 Conversion
Carburated 4 barrel
71,000 Miles on Chassis
Automatic
Air Conditioning
Leather
Up for sale is a cool project car for someone. I bought this a while ago and have not had the time to devote to it that it needs. My loss is your gain, here is a summary of what I've done. I replaced the gas tank since the previous one was sitting for a while and I didn't want any sediment in the engine. So I replaced the gas tank and some of the lines. I had the carburetor professionally rebuilt and serviced. I also had the air conditioning checked for leaks and serviced and oiled. Once I had this work done I drove it briefly and transmission shifted excellent, drove good and the air conditioning was even cold!
Interior:
Door panels and rear seat are in nice shape. Front driver and passenger seat bases are ripped and will need upholstery work. Floors are solid however the floor mats and carpets could use a shampoo and cleaning. Headliner is in good shape. Radio is not there but wiring is there. Some of the gauges work but not all, gas gauge does not work or speedometer.
Exterior:
The body is in good shape. There is some minor rust spots but this is a better car than most. Paint is in good shape but it is not original and has been painted at some point.
Engine:
Engine is strong and runs smooth once its fired up very powerful. However I recommend that the car be towed because the idle needs to be adjusted so that when you put the car in drive or reverse the RPMs don't go to low and stall out. One of the manifolds is leaking and will need to be re welded. Does not show any signs of oil burning even on cold start up.
Tires are like new but have some dry rot on them but not much to worry about.
This car will need to be towed, I wouldn't recommend driving it long distance. Bring a trailer or send a tow truck.
CLEAN FLORIDA TITLE IN HAND!!!!!

Car returns to ebay 11/6/19
www.ebay.com/itm/1983-Jaguar-XJS-XJS-2dr-Coupe/163932268431
Car has a buy it now price of $3,900 for 9 days, seller listermotorsports, car now said to be in Troutman, North Carolina, previously Orlando, FL, 65k miles.
Seller's description:
THIS IS A PROJECT CAR, please read: 350 V8 Conversion.. I've owned this car for awhile, all the hard work is done, the V12 was removed and replaced with a strong running 350 with a Holly Carburetor.... the interior needs work, the 2 front seats needs to be recovered, the dash has cracks in the wood veneer, the carpets are stained and there are chips in the paint and 2 minor rust spots starting at the botyoms of the front fenders.. I had planned on gutting out most of the interior and putting in a roll bar and making it into a race car/rat rod themed car.. it runs and drives but will need to have the carb adjusted and an exhaust leak fixed.
