This XJS is quite simply one of the best out there. It is a 1983 HE V12, with 115k miles.
It is close to perfection cosmetically and mechanincally.
It has had a complete restoration.
The previous owner put over $40,000 into it over a decade or so, including high quality respray to original stock color,
top-end rebuild including new valve seats (a common problem on the V12) and a complete new fuel injection system.
It has had all new bushings and suspension components, brakes are in great condition too. It has new original (later) stock 15" wheels
and has had a new GM400 transimssion and new 3:31 ratio rear end. It has a refreshed AC system that works great.
I have installed a new power steering pump and hoses, so it is now quiet and smooth, like the rest of the car.
The interior is immaculate and everything works. Windows, power mirrors, lights, switches, everything works.
Leather is original but has been reconditioned and is beautiful.
I returned the center console to stock and installed a new but retro-look USB/CD/MP3 player (the speakers are not great).
Most of this restoration work is less than 1000 miles old. I have a STACK of receipts dating back 30+ years.
All the restoration work other than the power steering was done by the previous owner, who owned the car since 1992.

This 1983 Jaguar XJS was kept in Washington State for the majority of its life and was purchased by a previous owner on BaT in October 2016. Approximately 3k miles have been added since the seller acquired the vehicle out of Florida in February 2017. Power comes from a 5.3L V12 coupled with a 3-speed GM400 automatic transmission. Over $53k of receipts accompany the vehicle, $7k of which cover maintenance performed under current ownership, including a new brake master cylinder, ECU, electronic ignition, and an A/C service. Modifications are said to consist of larger brake rotors, a high-flow radiator, a 3.31 rear end, later-model wheels, and an aftermarket stereo.
