Ebay item 11/28/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1985-Jaguar-XJS/202127446932
Current bid $1,025 reserve not met 4 bids 9 days left in auction, seller race13car, 18k miles.

Sellers description:
A VERY SPECIAL 1985 JAGUAR XJ-S. FINISHED WITH A RED EXTERIOR AND TAN LEATHER INTERIOR. DRIVEN JUST 18,367 WELL CARED FOR MILES SINCE NEW. OPTIONS ON THIS XJ-S INCLUDE AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, CAST ALLOY WHEELS, ADDITIONAL DAYTON WIRE WHEELS, LEATHER INTERIOR AND MUCH MORE.

THIS ULTRA LOW MILEAGE 1985 XJ-S COUPE HAS BEEN SERVICED REGARDLESS OF COST SINCE NEW (COMES WITH A COMPLETE AND DETAILED SERVICE FILE) AND IT DRIVES EVEN BETTER THAN IT LOOKS. THE MASSIVE 12 CYLINDER ENGINE IS STRONG AND POWERFUL AND THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFTS EFFORTLESSLY THROUGH ALL OF THE GEARS. THE STEERING IS TIGHT AND PRECISE AND THE BRAKES FEEL JUST GREAT. ALL OF THE ELECTRONICS WORK PERFECTLY AND THE AIR CONDITIONING IS WORKING AS IT SHOULD. THIS REALLY IS A FANTASTIC 12 CYLINDER XJ-S TO DRIVE.

THE INTERIOR IS STUNNING. THE TAN LEATHER SEATS ARE IN REMARKABLE CONDITION (SEE PICTURES) SHOWING VIRTUALLY NO WEAR AT ALL TO ANY OF THE SEATS. THE DASHBOARD IS LIKE NEW AND EVEN THE CARPETS DON'T LOOK OR FEEL LIKE THEY HAVE BEEN STEPPED ON THANKS TO THE JAGUAR FLOOR MATS THAT HAVE BEEN PROTECTING THEM.

THE EXTERIOR IS WHAT REALLY SETS THIS PARTICULAR 1985 XJ-S APART FROM THE REST. THE RED PAINT IS IN FANTASTIC CONDITION (SEE PICTURES) WITH NO MAJOR SCRATCHES OR DINGS ANYWHERE AT ALL. THE PAINT IS STILL BRIGHT AND SHINY WITH PLENTY OF LUSTER. ADD THE 15 INCH CAST ALLOY WHEEL (HAVE OPTIONAL DAYTON WIRE WHEELS THAT ACCOMPANY THE CAR) MOUNTED ON GREAT TIRES AND THIS XJ-S REALLY DOES LOOK SPECIAL.

THE 1985 JAGUAR XJ-S REALLY IS THE ULTIMATE CLASSIC COUPE. IT HAS TIMELESS LOOKS, GREAT PERFORMANCE ALONG WITH ALL OF JAGUAR'S LEGENDARY SAFETY, LUXURY AND CRAFTSMANSHIP. I HAVE OWNED A LOT OF OLDER XJ-S'S, BUT THIS ONE HAPPENS TO REALLY STAND OUT FROM THE REST. THE ONLY REAL "APOLOGIES" TO THIS JAGUAR ARE A COUPLE OF LIGHT NICKS THAT ARE TO BE EXPECTED ON ANY USED CAR. THE PICTURES DON'T DO THIS 1985 JAGUAR XJ-S JUSTICE, IT REALLY IS THAT NICE!!!

Car returns to ebay 8/1/19

www.ebay.com/itm/1985-Jaguar-XJS-V12/183905574341

Car has a buy it now price of $22,995 for 29 days, seller europeanmotorstudiogt, car now said to be in Chandler, Arizona, 18k miles.

Seller's description:

European Motor Studio is very excited to offer this incredibly well preserved and highly original 1985 Jaguar XJS H.E V12 Coupe finished in Sebring Red over Biscuit Connolly leather. After leaving the Browns Lane Coventry factory in March of 1985, this XJS was imported into the US through Jaguar North America where it was invoiced into Ladd Motors, INC. of Lebanon PA. The selling dealer sold the car to its first owner on May 24, 1985 to a local resident of PA. The car was then traded back into LADD Motors and sold to its second and final owner on February 20, 1988 with only 1,412 miles covered at that time. The car has lived in Philadelphia under the same ownership ever since covering a mere 18,790 miles with a comprehensive service file dating back to brand new with LADD Motors, INC and Cherry Hill Classic Cars Jaguar paperwork and service history present along with early dealer selling signatures and service stampings to document the cars mileage. This unbelievably well kept Jaguar XJS is draped in its original Sebring Red paint top to bottom showing a remarkable finish with just a few minor stone chips in the front nose around the cat emblem and a couple small chips just above the headlights on the hood and one chip (pictured) just in front of the driver rear wheel in the lower fender. No rust anywhere on the car with a clean original undercarriage. All of the original bumpers, chrome, trim and glass is in excellent unmarked condition. The original Biscuit Connolly leather feels and looks practically new. No visible cracks, crease marks or scuffing is evident in any of the four seats and the leather has an incredibly soft feel. The wood is unmarked and free from any cracking, delamination or fade. The headliner is all original and completely unmarked and free from any sagging. Jaguar's iconic 5.3 liter V12 engine is silky smooth on start up and acceleration and pulls smoothly through all of the gears. Zinc plating on many of the engine components is still visible which is very rare to see. The front brake pads and rotors have just been replaced and new tires put on the car in early 2018. The car rides very smooth and quiet just like these Grand Touring Jaguar's were built to do. 80mph is effortless and quiet with a supple refined ride. All of the electrical components are operating as designed including the AC which is ice cold, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, original Jaguar factory radio with power antenna, all of the exterior and interior lights and all of the gauges are operating as designed. The onboard computer is functioning as well. A clean and clear Carfax and title is present with the sale of this XJS along with the original owners handbooks, service books and the factory original brochure. All of the original factory Waso and British Leyland keys are present with the original factory cassette tape, matching spare wheel, toll roll and jack. Service receipts dating back to brand new are present and also original dealer service stampings in the service booklet. This is an outstanding opportunity to acquire an XJS HE V12 in untouched original condition with such great history and documentation. These are getting increasingly hard to find in this kind of condition.

Car has a buy it now price of $27,900 for 9 days, seller canyonclassics, car now said to be in Tempe, Arizona, 19k miles reported.

Seller's description:

1985 Jaguar XJS Coupe V12 High Efficiency, Rare Color, 19k Orig Miles, Body Color Damson Red, Miles 19,450

VIN SAJNV5844FC122753

Here is an absolutely drop dead gorgeous 1985 Jaguar XJS in great condition inside and out. This is a pre-facelift example of the XJS before it was replaced in 1996 by the XK8. It is favored by Jaguar collectors as one of the most beautiful vehicles Jaguar ever assembled. This is a totally solid always garage stored example that is a blast to drive. It is a very well kept, unmolested Jaguar that has been extremely well maintained over the years. It also has very low miles for its age at 19,000, averaging just over 500 miles per year driving! This unit just in from a private collection out of New Mexico. One of the lowest mile original Jag XJS coupes in the country! This is essentially a one main owner car. Mr Wolf bought this car in 1988 with 1400mi and was the only driver who regularly serviced this car til he parted with it in 2013 with 18k miles. It has been through a small handful of collectors since then with only about a thousand miles on the car over the last 7 years. Nothing beats the feeling of a V12 Jaguar, so don't miss your chance to put this beauty in your garage for pennies on the dollar of what has been spent on this car over the years....bid now!

The following is a list of options as this Jaguar is currently equipped:

-5.3L 291hp V12 Engine

-4 Speed Automatic Transmission

-Lightweight Alloy Wheels

-Power Windows

-Power Door Locks

-Power Antenna

-Power Heated Seats

-Automatic Climate Control

-Factory Jaguar Am/Fm Cassette

-Fog Lamps

The body on the car is in very good condition and was extremely well maintained. The paint on the car is still its original coat of Damson Red and is in awesome condition and looks as good as the day in rolled of the lot. The paint is beautiful and has never had any sheet metal work and is certified to have never been in an accident. The car has been completely inspected underneath from front to back and is solid as a rock as an western car should be. All chrome trim, glass (all original), and rubber seals are in great shape. The car is riding on the on rare 95-96 XJ-R aluminum wheels. All four are like new with no damage or curb rash.

The interior is in great shape all around. The dash and door panels are in very nice condition and all wood grain is very nice and gives the car a very luxurious feel. The supple biscuit tan leather seats are all in very good condition and look as nice as new with no rips or ware lines, which shows the quality of materials used in this car. The carpets are all very nice are not worn or damaged. All dials and controls function as they should, power windows and antenna also are fully functional. The sound system is also very nice with the high dollar Jaguar sound system currently installed. All lights, gauges switches, and accessories work as they should.

Mechanically, this XJS runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. It drives as good now as the day it rolled of the lot. The V12 engine is very quick and responsive. It is reliable, easy to fix, and parts are readily available. The suspension is very tight and feels solid even at highway speeds above 90mph. The car also just easily passed the tough Arizona Emissions tests with flying colors. This beauty has only 19500 original miles and was just driven over 5 hours from NM to AZ with no issues.

The car will include 4 keys, all tools, spare tire, as well as all original manuals and receipts.

All in all, this is one of the cleanest and nicest Jag's that I have had the privilege of being associated with. It has been professionally maintained and truly loved by its previous owner. This XJS is a fantastic car for the price and includes every option offered in this car. This is your chance to get an like new vintage Jaguar for a fraction of the original cost. The car has a clean Arizona Title.
