1985 Jaguar XJS Coupe with V12. All original with no rust. Runs and Drives Good and recently passed VA State Inspection (Feb2019). The body is in excellent condition. The paint is good with the exception of part of the roof. Interior is good, except for stitching coming apart in some places and the headliner sagging (see photos). It has 4 matching Goodyear tires with 75% tread. This car lived most of its life in the dry Southwest and midwest climates (where it was always garaged) and has only been in Virginia for 2 1/2 years (not garaged).

History: This is a 3rd-owner car. It was originally purchased in New Mexico by a doctor for around $63,000. It was later purchased by a Nissan dealership owner (for his personal Jag collection) in Oklahoma where I bought it from him in 2007. I'm selling it because I no-longer have the means to care for it and can't stand to watch it deteriorate. I'm looking for someone who can give it the care it deserves.

New parts professionally installed: Rack & pinion steering, alignment, rear brake pads and rotors. As with all classic Jags, it does have a few minor issues (not already mentioned):

One rear brake caliper is dragging
Instrument cluster does not work sometimes
Needs new hood struts (hood will not stay up on its own)

Price: $6,000 negotiable

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
