Car is an H&E conversion of a '88 coupe. Live in central NJ and have never seen another H&E. First car was TR4 followed by e-Type 2+2. XJ-S was a retirement gift to myself in 2001. Interior redone leather, wood and cold air ducts.

Converted by Hess & Eisenhart. Built 11/87. Titled as a '88. Delivered in 6/88. I am 3rd owner. Think car originally was delivered to Ca since has chrome "starfish" wheels and wood wheel.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
