1986 Jaguar XJS V12 Convertible
This special Jaguar is a one of a kind vehicle. The vehicle went through an extensive custom convertible conversion in California. This included installing an additionally frame to avoid vibrations. Jaguar did not build an XJS convertible until the following year.
Later the convertibles Jaguar offered were cabriolets, with cumbersome operation and a space consuming box in the rear. This vehicle has a soft top that can quickly go up and down with full use of the rear seats or trunk. This includes newly rebuilt soft top cylinders. The car has the look of a Ferrari convertible when driven (in my humble opinion). Interior upgrades include Nardi wood for the steering wheel and an Alpine sound system.
Overall the vehicle drives very well with smooth and solid power delivery. Engine, interior and trunk are clean. Tires have plenty of tread and in very good condition. The vehicle was taken to a Jaguar specialist prior to posting for a full inspection.
