Ebay item 6/1/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Two-owner-41k-miles-baremetal-repaint-Beautiful-/1710502 ...
Current bid $5,000 reserve not met, 1 bid 8 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1985 Jaguar XJS H.E, equipped with a 5343 CC, 326 cubic inch High Energy V-12 which puts out 262 horsepower and 290 Ft/lbs of torque. Performance for the car is 0-60 7.8 seconds with a top speed of 150mph. This particular vehicle has had two owners who clocked a total of 41,900 miles, documented by a clean car=fax which I can provide. I purchased the car in 2008 for my collection, but since then I have added enough cars that my storage is full and I have three other Jaguars so I have decided to sell it. When I purchase the car it looked good but had some strange white spots in the paint on the front fender, rear gas door and the roof. They would buff out, but come right back. My body guy said it was a flaw in the original lacquer and the only way to completely remove was to bead blast and repaint, which I did. The last picture on the listing is of the car when I got it, you can see it looked pretty good. I also included a few pic's of the repaint. The car has been driven less than 500 miles since. The exterior chrome is flawless. The interior is spectacular for a 28 year old car, original carpet, leather, the wood is very good. There will be some wear here and there, since it is original, but still very nice. The power and electrical equipment works as it should except the Cruise control, no idea why. It has Dunlop tires at least 50% tread remaining, the wheels are factory and in good shape no rash. The Engine bay is very clean and original and still has all of its factory stickers. The chassis is very clean and original reflects the low mileage. The car starts and runs very smooth, shifts as it should. It has been regularly service even though it has only been driven less than 1000 miles since I have owned it. It is not currently registered and has an Oregon title from the second owner, it was originally purchased in Nevada and driven by the same owner for 20 years 31,000 miles. This is a beautiful vehicle, which I prepared for a collection, but yet things change, I have other vehicles I still want to buy, so I am selling duplicates. I am keeping a one owner 27,000 mile convertible.
