Ebay item 2/13/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1993-Jaguar-XJS-Base-Convertible-2-Door-/322421396082
Car has a buy it now price of $12,000 for 9 days, seller cmol909, 54k miles.
Sellers description:
A beautiful and well cared for XJS convertible. It has spent it's entire life in Palm Springs or the immediate area. I believe 5 owners from new, although 2 of the previous owners were in my immediate family. It has always been garaged, and that is the reason I am selling, I have lost the free storage I had access to, and rather than park it outdoors and watch it deteriorate, (I seldom drive it), it's best it go to a new home, where it can continue to be pampered. Within the last 3 months, I have spent some money doing a few things to it that are (I am told) directly related to lack of use. Including having the rear brake calipers rebuilt. At that time, I had the brake fluid completely flushed and new front and rear brake pads installed. Front wheel bearings were repacked and a new 'trans mount buffer' was installed also at that time. Tires are about 90% tread, and were installed only because the last set were beginning to crack from age. As far as I know, this jaguar has always had full maintainance as per the factory recommendations. All oils/fluids are clean and don't leak. It drives perfectly. In the interest of full disclosure, there are 3 things that do not work: The factory cd stacker in the trunk, I have no idea what is wrong with it, but some time ago it simply stopped working. The cruise control, I suspect it's the switch in the console, as I accidently spilled coffee on it one morning, and the drivers side quarter window does not roll down when the top is retracted. It's always been this way, and it does not interfere with operation of the top, so I have not done anything about it. If no one makes me a reasonable offer, I will take care of these small thing, and raise the asking price. Anyway, it's a beautiful auto, but it is NOT PERFECT. If you want a perfect car, you probably want to go talk to the Jaguar dealer about a NEW Jaguar. I will guarantee in writing that the mileage is accurate, and if you are looking for a very low mileage, well cared for XJS, this is one to consider.
