This 1993 Jaguar XJS convertible has 33k original miles and is being offered by its owner of 12 years. The car has always been garaged and includes all maintenance and service records from new. The seller is the third owner who describes it as one of the nicest examples he's seen. Paint is original and everything works including A/C. The seller purchased it from the original owner with 29,067 miles and has only driven it to shows and on leisure trips with his wife. The car was serviced earlier this year and the front suspension was recently rebuilt. The seller says the new owner can be confident taking it on a long distance trip tomorrow and adds that the engine runs like a clock.
The seller says paint is all original and remains in excellent condition with no dings, scratches, or peeling clear. OEM chrome wheels show well with no curb rash or worn finish, and the OEM power convertible top works and is always stored in the up position.
Connolly leather, Wilton wool carpets and wood veneers are all original and have been preserved well. There are no electrical issues and all lights, switches, gauges and accessories work, including power seat adjustments, window and top lifts, central locking and cold-blowing A/C.
The seller adds that the fully lined top retracts and closes quickly and is quiet and weather-tight when in place against the windshield header. Seats are very clean with soft leather.
The trunk still houses all factory equipment including an unused full-size spare, tool kit and still-wrapped, Jaguar-branded tote bag.
The four liter AJ-series twin cam straight six offers torquey power delivery and smooth shifts through the 4-speed automatic. The seller has all service records dating to 1993 which show the car has been always maintained on schedule. The seller says it has always proven reliable apart from routine service, the car has only needed new A/C compressor seals.
Sale includes all original books, manuals, tools and keys as well as full service and maintenance documentation. The seller says this is one of the nicest examples around and has every available option offered at the time.
