This 1990 Jaguar XJS convertible is finished in Jaguar Racing Green over tan leather and is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power-operated black soft top, 15″ basketweave alloy wheels, fog lamps, air conditioning, an onboard computer, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo. The car has spent much of its life in California and the seller acquired it in February 2011. The cylinder heads were rebuilt and the engine was resealed in 2019, and subsequent work has included the replacement of the shocks, rear springs, and brake pads as well as a refurbishment of the brake calipers. This Jaguar XJS shows 70k miles and is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, service records, a tool roll, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Jaguar Racing Green and features a power-operated black convertible soft top that was reportedly replaced under current ownership. Additional exterior details include a retractable antenna, a trunk-mounted brake light, pinstriping, fog lights, and impact bumpers with black rubber and chrome trim. The seller states the hood has been repainted.

Alloy 15″ basketweave wheels wear Jaguar-logo center caps and are mounted with 225/60 Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel disc brakes, and a spare wheel wearing a vinyl cover is located in the trunk. The shock absorbers and rear coil springs were replaced in September 2020, and work in February 2021 consisted of rebuilding the front brake calipers and replacing the brake pads and hoses.

The cabin features seats trimmed in tan leather with a color-coordinated center console and door panels, which are accented with woodgrain veneers. The seller states that the seats and center console have been recovered and that the headliner has been replaced. Equipment includes an AM/FM/cassette stereo, an onboard computer, air conditioning, and power windows and locks. The seller notes the heated seats and the cruise control do not work.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. The six-digit odometer shows 70k miles, approximately 5k of which were added by the seller.

The fuel-injected 5.3-liter V12 was rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque when new. Work in August 2019 included rebuilding the cylinder heads, replacing head and cam cover gaskets, and installing an aluminum radiator with electric fans. The oil pressure sender was replaced and the heater valve was rebuilt in September 2021.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The transmission fluid was flushed in September 2020.
