Auction description:
This 1990 Jaguar XJ-S V12 was initially delivered to Jaguar of Darien in Connecticut, and it spent time in New Jersey, Florida, and Texas before the selling dealer’s June 2024 acquisition. Now showing 56k miles, the car is finished in Glacier White over Barley leather. Power is provided by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and equipment includes a beige soft top, front fog lights, heated and power-adjustable side mirrors, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, cross-spoke 15″ alloy wheels, automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows, heated and power-adjustable seats, and a Kenwood CD stereo. Work in preparation for the sale involved repairing the convertible top mechanism as well as replacing the power steering pump, air-conditioning compressor, and rear brake calipers and rotors. This XJ-S V12 is offered at no reserve in Oklahoma with a window sticker, factory literature, historical paperwork, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.
The car is finished in Glacier White (NDP) and is equipped with a beige soft top, quad headlights, front fog lights, heated and power-adjustable mirrors with chrome caps, and dual exhaust outlets. The left-rear quarter panel was refinished in preparation for the sale, and additional work included rebuilding the convertible top hydraulic pump, repairing the wiring, and replacing the power antenna and antenna bezel.
Cross-spoke 15″ alloy wheels are mounted with 235/60 Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, and the rear brakes were fitted with replacement rotors and calipers in preparation for the sale.
The heated and power-adjustable seats are upholstered in Barley leather, while burl wood veneers accent the dashboard and door panels. Appointments include automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows, and a Kenwood CD stereo. A replacement leather insert was fitted to the driver’s seat in preparation for the sale.
The leather-wrapped airbag steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 56k miles, approximately 700 of which were added by the selling dealer.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Work in preparation for the sale involved replacing the power steering pump as well as changing the oil and various fluids. The selling dealer states that the air-conditioning compressor was also replaced.
The included window sticker displays initial delivery to Jaguar of Darien in Connecticut, and it lists factory colors and equipment along with a total amount of $57,500.
