This 1992 Jaguar XJS was purchased new by its current owner from Bauer Jaguar in Newport Beach, California. Finished in Signal Red over a tan Doeskin leather interior, the car is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes basketweave wheels, flush headlights, woodgrain interior accents, power-adjustable seats, cruise control, and an aftermarket CD player. This XJS shows 68k miles and is now offered by the seller on behalf of his partner with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the current owner’s name.
The exterior is finished in Signal Red and features chrome trim and dual exhaust outlets along with late-model flush headlights and full-width taillights. The seller notes a scratch in the paint on the door as well as a crack in the right taillight lens. Close-up photos of the finish and trim are provided in the gallery below.
Basketweave wheels were reportedly mounted with new tires within the past 200 miles, and a spare is stored in the trunk.
The cabin is upholstered in tan Doeskin leather on the seats, door inserts, center console, and dashboard with woodgrain accents throughout. Factory equipment includes power-adjustable seats with memory settings for the driver, electric windows, cruise control, air conditioning, and an aftermarket Alpine CD player. The factory stereo is included in the sale. The R12-based air-conditioning system reportedly does not blow cold, the passenger-seat adjuster works intermittently, and wear is noted on the outboard driver-seat bolster.
A stock airbag steering wheel fronts instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. The six-digit odometer shows 68k miles.
The aluminum 5.3-liter V12 was rated at 263 horsepower and 288 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission, which features normal and sport modes. The seller reports that an oil change was performed in March 2019.
Service records are included in the sale along with an owner’s handbook, a shop manual, and other factory literature. The Carfax report shows history in California and lists no accidents or other issues from new through a California emissions inspection in April 2019.
