Seller's description:
You are looking at a magnificent example of a 1992 Jaguar XJS Coupe. Designed by Malcolm Sayer who became world famous for his work on the C and D Types and especially for the incomparable XKE. Sir William Lyons, then Chairman of Jaguar, was also instrumental in developing the styling so unique to this car. The flying buttress design was controversial at the time but Sayer wanted it for the aerodynamics and low drag coefficient. The V-12 was originally designed for racing (the XJ-13) and is known for its silky-smooth performance and power. This car is a joy to drive – the faster you go the better it performs.
I purchased this car from a high-end dealer in Nashville in early 2015. I traced the prior 3 owners and have the original window sticker and all maintenance records dating back to the in-service date of 12/24/91 in Birmingham, AL. The car has been meticulously maintained by all owners since the beginning. Notable upgrades and repairs under my ownership include Borla performance stainless exhaust, new steering rack, shocks and bushings, new windscreen, re-paint below the trim line, Voxx 15” alloy wheels (I have the originals as well) and a newer battery. Also included is a California Car cover (see photo).
Personally, I would rather keep this car but my wife is calling for an Inventory Reduction! Whoever buys this car is going to really enjoy it. A truly remarkable car.

This 1992 Jaguar XJS 2+2 coupe was initially delivered to Jim Burke Jaguar in Birmingham, Alabama, and was purchased by the seller in 2015. Powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, the car is finished in Silver Frost Metallic over black leather. Equipment includes a Borla exhaust system, limited-slip differential, fog lights, 16″ Voxx wheels, heated power-adjustable front seats, a cassette stereo, cruise control, and air conditioning. This XJS coupe is offered at no reserve with a window sticker, a spare set of wheels, service records, a Carfax report, and a clean Missouri title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Silver Frost Metallic, and the lower portions of the car were refinished under current ownership. Exterior details include fog lights, a Jaguar growler hood emblem, dual exhaust outlets, and a telescoping antenna. The Carfax report lists an accident with another motor vehicle that resulted in damage to the front of the car in January 1997. The windshield was replaced in 2017, and close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below.
The 16″ Voxx MG-3 wheels are mounted with Falken Ziex tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin features heated power-adjustable front sport seats and two rear bucket seats upholstered in black leather. Interior amenities include a cassette stereo, driver’s seat position memory, cruise control, and air conditioning.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 77k miles, approximately 8k of which were added under current ownership. The Carfax report lists a mileage inconsistency in July 2021, though it notes that it may be the result of a clerical error.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 263 horsepower and 288 lb-ft of torque. In 2021, the power steering pump was rebuilt and the oxygen sensor and radiator were replaced, while the battery was replaced in 2024.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The transmission is said to have been resealed in 2021, and a Borla exhaust system is fitted.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Jim Burke Jaguar in Birmingham, Alabama, as well as factory colors, equipment, and a total amount of $61,080.
