This 1994 Jaguar XJS 2+2 convertible has been registered in California and Washington since new, and it was purchased in 2003 by a friend of the current owner, with whom the car remained up until it was purchased in September 2024 by the owner. The car is finished in Flamenco Red over Cream leather and is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a power-retractable beige soft top, a rear spoiler, chrome-finished 18″ Azev five-spoke wheels, heated power-adjustable front sport seats, and cruise control. This XJS convertible shows 91k miles and is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner at no reserve with a clean Carfax report and a Washington title in the owner’s name.

The car is finished in Flamenco Red (CFH) and features a power-retractable beige soft top as well as a top boot, fog lights, a Jaguar growler hood emblem, a rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, and a telescoping antenna. Photographs of paint-meter readings are shown in the gallery below, the trunk lid has been repainted, and the lower front air dam is cracked.

The chrome-finished 18″ Azev five-spoke wheels have Jaguar-logo center caps and are mounted with Pirelli tires that show date codes from 2018. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.

The cabin features heated power-adjustable front sport seats and two rear bucket seats upholstered in Cream leather (NDR) with red piping that extends to the door panels. Interior amenities include an AM/FM/cassette stereo, cruise control, power windows, and a car phone located in the center console. The driver’s seat is worn.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 91k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership.

The 6.0-liter V12 was factory rated at 278 horsepower and 351 lb-ft of torque. The emissions pump and air-conditioning system do not work, and the seller attributes it to a drive belt related to those systems having been removed under prior ownership.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
