Sellers description:
30K-Mile 1994 Jaguar XJS V12 Convertible
Sold On 5/16/16 For $13,000
Lot #1357
Location: Powell, OH
Chassis: SAJNX2343RC189459

This 1994 Jaguar XJS V12 Convertible is a 30k mile example finished in Brooklands Green over Beige interior. The owner is a dealer who has had the car for ten months and used it as a fair weather cruiser, logging around 500 miles behind the wheel following a major service that included replacing worn parts and preventative maintenance. The stock 6.0 liter V12 engine is said to run smoothly and make good power, and the paint and interior appears to be in good driver's condition. The car comes with a clean Ohio title.

The beige interior features green stitching and piping throughout, and has been well-preserved with upholstery showing normal wear for a 22 year old car. The leather seats have Jaguar symbols embossed in the headrests, and are in good condition with no tears or unraveled stitching apparent. Carpets look taut and are relatively clean for a light color.

The car has been serviced in the dealer's service department with new valve cover gaskets, new shock mounts, new tie rods and ball joints, an alignment, synthetic oil & filter change, and a brake fluid flush. The car is said to drive smoothly and has been dependable during time of ownership.

Lot #135684

This 1994 Jaguar XJS 2+2 convertible was sold on BaT in May 2016 before it was acquired by the seller on BaT in July 2019, and it is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Finished in British Racing Green over tan leather with green piping, the car is equipped with a tan convertible top, fog lights, 16″ alloy wheels, heated power-adjustable front seats, an onboard computer, cruise control, and automatic climate control. Work performed under current ownership included rebuilding the transmission, installing a Kenwood CD stereo, and replacing the left-front seat cover, fuel pump, harmonic balancer, right-rear window, and assorted ignition and brake system components. This XJS shows 43k miles and is now offered with a top boot, service records, two keys, a Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in British Racing Green (HFB) and features a power-operated soft top with a heated rear window as well as body-color headlight surrounds, fog lights, a rear spoiler, chrome trim, a Jaguar growler hood emblem, dual exhaust outlets, chrome-finished side mirrors, and tinted windows. An August 2009 entry in the Carfax report indicates that the rear of the car sustained damage as the result of a rear-end collision with another motor vehicle. The right rear window was replaced in June 2021, and the power antenna was replaced in 2022. The right headlight washer is inoperative. A tan top boot is included in the sale.

Five-spoke 16″ alloy wheels with gold-finished recesses are mounted with 225/60 Pirelli P4 tires. The front brake calipers and hoses were replaced in November 2020, and a replacement ABS accumulator was installed in March 2021.

The heated power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in tan leather with green piping, and the dash, center console, and door panels are accented by burl wood trim. Amenities include an onboard computer, cruise control, automatic climate control, and power windows, mirrors, and locks. A Kenwood CD stereo was installed under current ownership, and the seller states that the upholstery on the left front seat was replaced in 2019.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel was replaced in 2019, and it frames a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 43k miles, approximately 6k of which were added under current ownership. The Carfax report lists a potential odometer rollback in November 2015 as a result of two service entries in June and September of 2013.

The 6.0-liter V12 was factory rated at 278 horsepower and 351 lb-ft of torque. The catalytic converter, fan clutch, fuel pump, ignition coil, distributor cap, ignition rotor, spark plugs, and ignition wires were replaced in 2019, and the air conditioning pressure switch and throttle position sensor were replaced in 2021, according to the seller.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a GM 4L80-E four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The transmission was rebuilt and the torque converter was replaced in March 2021.

Service records, two keys, and a top boot are included in the sale.
