Ebay item 9/101/4
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJS-2-2-Convertible-2-Door-1994-JAGUAR-XJS-V12-CONVERTIB ...
Current bid $5,500, no reserve, 7 bids 2 days left in auction. 91k miles.

Sellers description:
I have decided to sell my Jaguar XJS V12, which I have thoroughly enjoyed owning for almost 9 years!

Here is my description of the vehicle. There are a number of issues that the car has that I sort of "overlook" as the owner (it's an emotional thing, owning a Jaguar!), but in selling the car, I am trying to be as complete as possible in describing what these issues are (see below in body of description of the vehicle)....

Jaguar XJS V12 4-seat convertible has all luxury and high-end mechanical features including:
• 6-liter V12 Jaguar engine
• 4 speed automatic transmission
• dual full-power front seats
• Ivory-colored leather interior
• wood-rimmed steering wheel from 1996 XJS (only offered one year for the XJS....very rare!)
• AM-FM-CD player with trunk-mounted CD changer
• power windows
• power convertible top
• 4-wheel power disk brakes

Yokohama radial tires
• factory rear spoiler
• body color: British racing green

The car has been driven approx. 92,000 miles

I have owned this Jaguar XJS V12 for approximately 9 years. In that time I have greatly enjoyed driving it both on trips as well as on curvy roads!

Most of the car is original including the engine, interior, sound system, and body (except for 2 hood vents which I fabricated and installed to aid with engine/transmission/under hood cooling).

I have replaced:
• all electrical switches for windows and convertible top--power windows work perfectly.
• the original console with a new real wood console containing stainless steel dual cup holders.
• Bilstein shocks.
• the convertible top (about 2 years ago).
• new free-flowing dual-exhaust system recently installed by a high-performance local muffler shop (about 2000 miles ago).
• catalytic converters (about 4 years ago).
• 4 tires with new properly-sized Yokohama 225/55-16's (about 2500 miles ago).
• steering rack with a rebuilt unit (approx. 3000 miles ago)

• and many other items too numerous to list

There are some mechanical issues with the car:
• the check engine light is currently indicating code 44
• sometimes the anti-lock brake light comes on
• the BRAKE light on the dash stays lit when the brake is off (a new switch is needed)
• my mechanic has told me that the car needs a new transmission mount
• another driver backed into the driver's side rear fender at 1 mph and left a dent (see photo)
• various small dents and minor paint issues on the body
• interior has normal wear for the miles; leather is worn in different areas of the interior
• fan belts squeal for about 3 seconds after the engine is started
• car pulls very slightly to the right when the brakes are applied
• the windshield has a crack in it about 6" long
• on a very hot day, the "transmission light" sometimes comes on and the transmission falters until the car cools down

It's fast, it's fun, it's sexy. This is a very powerful, classic Jaguar that will provide lots of pleasure (and turned heads) for an owner willing to provide some TLC to a classic beauty!

Price: $5500/or best offer
location: Gaithersburg, MD

Car returns to ebay 6/11/23

www.ebay.com/itm/285306818688

Opening bid $16,000 reserve not met 0 bids buy it now price: $24,750, 9 days left in auction, seller wyatt199, 120k miles

Seller's description:

I have been the owner for the past 16+ years, having purchased it in late 2006. This car is a fantastic grand touring car, with abundant power from the 6.0 liter V12 engine. I have meticulously maintained the car, and many things are new or recently added.

The car was painted 5 years ago, going from the original Brooklands Green to Tornado Red. (I was tired of green). The engine compartment, door jambs and trunk areas were not painted red, but have the original color. and the seats were reupholstered at the same time, with a high-quality vinyl. I also had the Jaguar "Leaping Cat" logo embroidered into both front seat headrests. The original 5-spoke aluminum wheels are on the car, and I had them completely professionally restored in October 2022.

The exhaust system, headlights, brakes, and shock absorbers, and control arm bushings were all recently upgraded or replaced. The tan convertible top is brand new (installed by Adler & Mandel in Rockville, Md.). The car is simply fantastic to drive, and it recently passed Maryland State Inspection.

The only reason I am selling it is because I want to experience some other cars before I get too old to enjoy them! The car has a clean CarFax report. This car really attracts attention, but mainly it will impress the owner with its wonderful combination of grace, space and pace!
