This 1995 Jaguar XJS is a 2+2 convertible finished in repainted black with a matching soft top over a Coffee interior. Power comes from a 4.0L AJ16 straight-six mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. The seller has owned the car for over seven years and driven it approximately 15k of its 85k indicated miles. A recent service included an oil/filter change and a new battery. This XJS is offered with service history dating from 2011 and a clear Illinois title in the name of the seller's wife.
The body is finished in black with a matching soft top and chrome trim. A 2008 accident is noted on the Carfax report, though no other details are given. The car was repainted under the seller's ownership, reportedly to repair scratches in the previous finish. A ding on the top of the left quarter panel is pointed out in gallery close-ups below.
The soft top is said to be a Jaguar item featuring a glass rear window with an electric defroster and is shown both raised and lowered in photos. A top cover matching the interior is included. Factory 16″ 5-spoke aluminum wheels are fitted with BFGoodrich Advantage T/A tires.
The cabin is trimmed in Coffee leather with woodgrain trim on the dash and console. Cracks in the leather and a split seam are visible on the driver's seat and cracks can be seen in the wood trim. The 6-digit odometer shows 85k miles. The seller states that the cruise control is inoperable.
The 4.0L AJ16 straight-six is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. Recent service included an oil and filter change and an air conditioner recharge, and a new battery was installed in 2018. The front brakes were replaced and the wheel bearings repacked in early 2018.
The Carfax report shows three owners and records an accident without airbag deployment in 2008. Service records dating from 2011 are included in the sale.
