I am the second owner of this beautiful Jag and hate to sell it. It was a lease turn-in when I purchased it from the dealership.
It is rare to find a black exterior with black interior XJS convertible and this one was a late model year 1995 car.
I use it as a daily driver and the mileage is at 140K. 90K of which, I put on it. It is in great condition.
I run synthetic motor oil and always have, the motor is clean and runs clean - no dealer dressing
on the engine to make it look good - it always looked good.
·
AJ16 Engine
· New brakes (winter 2005)
· New upper control arm bushings (summer 2006)
· New fuel rails, injectors, fuel pump and fuel sending unit indicator due to bad SHELL gasoline (summer 2003)
· New rear differential support bushings and rear suspension bushings (summer 2003)
· Professionally repainted in 2005
· Jaguar AM/FM Cassette Radio w/ 6 CD Changer. ( CD changer not working)
· Four wheel power disc brakes
· Convertible top is 5 years old
· Original full sized Pirelli in the trunk.
· Original convertible cover for top, when down.
The only problems with the car are minor and I have listed them.
There is a small tear in the driver's side seat - about 4 inches in the leather of the lower/bottom seat.
The service engine light is on and the computer diagnostics revealed that an O2 sensor was out. I replaced two of the
four O2 sensors about a year ago, but apparently the other two have failed and need replacing.
About a month ago, I backed into a truck and the only damage I recieved was a cracked passenger side tail light at the corner.
There is no damage to the bumber or body from the minor backing accident. The outer cover of the light is exposed
in a 2x2 section at the corner and does not expose the main lens covering the lights.
The A/C blows real cool, not ice cold. It may need a recharge and I had a leak check done, revealing no leaks.
I did not recharge the system yet, it is still cool here.
The Stereo currently installed is a Clarion w/remote - CD/AM/FM/Sirius ready system. I do have the original working stereo and
the 6 CD changer in the trunk for the original system, but it does not work.
Everything else is in great condition.
