This 1994 Jaguar XJS 2+2 convertible is finished in dark green over beige leather and powered by a 4.0-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Additional equipment consists of a factory cassette stereo, air conditioning, burl wood trim, and power-adjustable heated front seats with lumbar support and driver-side memory. The car was first registered in New York and spent time in Michigan, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Florida prior to the seller’s acquisition in May 2020. Subsequent work included replacement of the soft top, transmission fluid and filter, spark plugs, shock absorbers, and brakes. This XJS is offered at no reserve with a tonneau cover, manufacturer’s literature, a Carfax report, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The exterior is finished in Brooklands Green (HFB) with a tan convertible top. The top, headliner, and rear cable were reportedly replaced in June 2020. Features include a leaper hood ornament, chrome trim and exhaust tips, and smoked taillight lenses. The seller states that the front bumper and lower valance panel were refinished in October 2021 at which time touch-up paint was applied to the hood. The Carfax report shows an accident with another motor vehicle occurred in June 1996 with no further information provided.
Factory 16″ wheels are mounted with 225/55 Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires that show 2014 and 2016 date codes. The seller states that the front shocks, brake rotors, and calipers were replaced in September 2021 and that the rear shocks and rotors were changed in November 2021.
The cabin features Barley (AFW) leather upholstery over the seats, door panels, and center console. Burl wood veneers accent the dashboard, doors, and console, while wool carpets line the floors. Amenities include a factory cassette stereo with a trunk-mounted six-disc changer, air conditioning, and power-adjustable heated front seats with lumbar support and driver-side memory. The seller notes that the carpet shows wear and the roof latches have marked the rear seat backs.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a burl wood fascia containing a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for voltage, oil pressure, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer was reportedly replaced under previous ownership and now shows 39k miles. A potential odometer rollback in March 2009 is shown on the Carfax report and total mileage is unknown.
The 4.0-liter inline-six was factory rated at 219 horsepower and 272 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. Work performed under current ownership reportedly included an oil change, battery replacement, a transmission fluid and filter change, and a tune-up.
The transmission pan was replaced and Jet-Hot coating was applied to the exhaust system reportedly in July 2020.
