I just recently bought this ragged XJS from a customer and can't decide whether to fix it up or part it out. I thought I would try ebay and see if someone out there might want this project. The car is showing low mileage of 79,055. The transmission slips in reverse and will barely pull itself, the forward gears all shift fine. The engine runs good, pulls strong but smokes when first cranked after sitting over night meaning the valve guide seals are bad. The parking brake cable is broke and the parking brake light is staying on. The anti lock brake light is on, yet the brakes feel right and have power assist, no hard pedal. The check engine light is on but since it is a 94 inspections will not be a problem. The front seats look bad. The rear seat is not so bad, just weathered. The windows and top all work properly. The owners manual and books come with the car. It has a Pioneer stereo and c/d player. The tires have a little over half the tread. I would not hesitate to drive the car anywhere as long as I did not have to back up a hill. It will back up on level ground or a slight incline. The power antenna is not going up, the A/C blows but is doesn't feel cold.
