Ebay item 3/23/15

Current bid US $8,500, no reserve, 1 bid 3 days left in auction. 46k miles.

Sellers description:
I'm offering my beautiful and elegant 1994 Jaguar XJS convertible for sale. 4.0 Liter with original miles. Solid working condition. Just in time for spring/summer.

This car has been such a pleasure for me to drive the last 1 1/2 years. I drove it almost daily. It drives very strong. The engine and major mechanical parts are all in working order. Transmission shifts smoothly. The car runs smooth and just "floats" on the pavement. Tires are good. AC blows ice cold. All this is not to say the car is in perfect condition, however, with a small amount of TLC, it can be. Very minor cosmetic repair needs are to be expected for a car that is 21 years young but I would definitely say it is in excellent condition compared to the rest of the pack. I had new front brakes recently installed with a complete tune-up and oil change done by a Jaguar specialist in Napa, CA. There are no major rips or tears or damage to the interior or exterior of this car. Deep, dark burgundy top is practically new and a wonderful compliment to the champagne on beige color. Below is a list of some of the items that need attention which come to mind:

1) Inside Trunk Liner needs to slight adjustment.
2) Fuel gauge sometimes sticks to Zero Fuel. A few taps on the glass and all is fine.
3) Front spoiler is cracked but does not look bad.
4) Hood latch gets stuck.

There are probably a few other cosmetic things that need attention, but they are too minor for me to mention or remember. The most important thing that I would look for when buying a Jag is that mechanically the car be sound...and this one definitely is. It is very clean and comfortable. An excellent example. Like I said, this can be a daily driver or with some very minor attention a show car.

Please note, that over the last 17 years that I have been an EBAY member, I have sold 3 Jaguar XJS's on EBAY all to very satisfied enthusiasts like me. I am not a car dealer. I simply love jaguars and every now and then, I'll buy one, drive it a while and pass it on to someone else to enjoy. This time is no different! I love this car and have enjoyed it very much. I believe the new owner will as well... for many years to come.

HISTORY:
I purchased this car in october 2013 from a California car dealer that took it in for trade from either the first or second owner, I can't remember. I do know that this is an original California Car with no rust.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
